Last week, our team presented the status of VOLARIS’s experimental work at the European Lunar Symposium 2026 in Nancy, France. We outlined the planned experiments for studying processes in the lunar water cycle, such as micrometeorite impacts and thermal pumping, as well as the technical realisation in a thermal-vacuum setup. We also presented feasibility studies, focusing on thermal cycling of the sample and measuring its dielectric properties, which have already been performed and are ongoing.
